My name is Jillian Day Snyder- born and raised in Phoenix, AZ where I went to ASU and graduated with my BFA in 2019. I grew up escaping the summer heat by visiting my grandma in Oregon every year. She was an artist focused on watercolor, jewelry, clay sculpture, silk painting, and musically educating the children of her community to play the wind, string, and percussion instruments. Every month she would host an open house to display the musical and artistic talents of her community that mirrored her knowledge and expertise in all instruments and art mediums. Her influence has allowed me to be confident in my artistic abilities and continue to want to inspire my community by sharing and spreading beauty through the art of oil painting.
